Nikos, Nausicaa, Gliko and Apollonia, benefit from the space which is reserved for them, in “the Donkey Park”, right next to the Castles’ entry gates.

They often come forward to meet the visitors, much to the children’s delight.

The Castle’s animals

Right from passing through the Castle’s entry gates, both young and old can observe wild ducks and pigeons in the Donkey Park.

It is also common to come across squirrels and coypus, on the edges of the moats and maybe you will be lucky enough to see a salamander…

All dogs our welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times in the park; small dogs are allowed into the Castle if they are carried.
